Watch Record exists because the most important part of buying a watch — how you actually get offered one — has never been written down in a comparable way.
Waiting lists, relationships, prior spend, unexpected calls: everyone has a theory, and almost nobody has data. Watch Record asks every contributor the same structured questions about the same moments, then publishes the result anonymously.
The record starts with Rolex, because that is where the questions are sharpest. It begins empty on purpose — figures appear only when enough collectors have written down what happened to them. Retention matters just as much as acquisition, so contributors are asked, at their chosen interval, whether the watch is still theirs.

Honest about gaps
Where there isn't enough data, the page says so. Watch Record never estimates, models, or invents a statistic to fill a space.
Anonymous by design
Contributors are never publicly identified. Structured details and stories are what appear — never the person behind them.
